Meet Lex Albrecht

This week we talk to Lex Albrecht. Lex Albrecht is a Canadian athlete who began racing as a professional road cyclist in 2012.  She has been a member of the Canadian National Team and various professional teams including UCI Women’s World Tour teams.

She is a 8 time Champion of Québec, 3 time podium finisher at the Canadian National Championships, and has represented Canada on 4 occasions at the World Championships, and other prestigious international events in four continents

Raised in Barrie and Oro-Medonte, Canada, Lex moved to the province of Québec at the age of 18.  There, she became proficient in French and studied Medical Biology (Biologie médicale) at the Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières.  Lex worked as a research assistant at the Institut National de la Recherche Scientfique (INRS-Institut Armand-Frappier).  Lex also races gravel, and loves mountain biking and motorcycling.  She’s dabbled in track cycling and even picked up a BMX on a few occasions.

Lex is based in Montréal, Canada, was coached by Chris Rozdilsky for most of her career and is now coached by Joy McCulloch who she found through TrainingPeaks’ coach matching service.  Lex rides and races BMC bikes, and wears Sena Smart Helmets.
